Bald Eagle Pompom Craft

Melissa Bastow

These cute little bald eagles are great for craft time with the kids!  And they double as adorable little decor pieces for the 4th of July.  Two in one - sweet!

This is what you'll need:

  • Brown, yellow, and orange craft foam
  • Large brown and white pompoms (the white one should be a bit smaller than the brown)
  • Hot glue
  • Google eyes

Directions:

Begin at the bottom by folding the orange craft foam sheet in half. Using the bend to make them symmetrical, cut out feet for your eagle.

Glue the feet to the bottom of the brown pompom and then glue the white pompom on top.

Cut a small triangle of yellow foam for the beak and glue it on.  Then glue the google eyes  on (I think it looks good if they overlap the beak a little bit at the top - but that's totally your call).

Cut two eagle wings from brown craft foam and glue them onto both sides of your brown pom pom.

Once all the hot glue cools and dries your eagle is ready to display (and to play with, as long as the kiddos aren't too rough).
