Mini Poptart Tutorial
Share
These super easy mini poptarts are a fun way to breakfast! They take very little effort, and have a big taste for such cute little things. And they're not just for breakfast - they work for parties, as kid snacks, or just for when you feel like eating something adorably tiny!
Here's what you'll need:
- 1 box of prepared pie crusts
- strawberry preserves (homemade jam is yum in these)
- powdered sugar
- milk
- rainbow sprinkles
Roll the pie crusts flat. Cut 10 small squares (or rectangles, whatever, as long as they're equally shaped) out of each pie crust for a total of 20.
Transfer 10 of the squares to a parchment lined cookie sheet. Spread the strawberry preserves (or jam) in the middles of each square. But don't go all the way to the edge so they'll close later.
Place the other pie crust squares on top of each one. Use a fork to crimp the edges of the crust to make sure no strawberry preserves leak out.
Bake the pop-tarts in the oven at 425 for 12 minutes. While they're baking, combine 1 cup of powdered sugar and 2 TBSP of milk to make icing.
Once the poptarts have baked let them cool just a little bit (these are good to eat warm). Coat each mini poptart with icing and immediately put on the sprinkles.
You can always double this recipe to make sure you have enough poptarts for the whole family! Because these tasty little babies go fast!
