The new movie Despicable Me 3 comes out next week! And if your kids are like mine, they are gigantic Minion fans (who doesn't love those little yellow dudes?) These chocolate covered pretzels are easy to make and are a super fun snack to get everyone in the mood for the new movie!
This is what you'll need:
- 1 pkg. Yellow Chocolate Melting Discs
- 1 pkg. Blue Chocolate Melting Discs
- 1 pkg. Black Chocolate Melting Discs
- Pretzel Rods
- Edible Eyes
Directions:
Melt the blue chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds at a time, stirring each time, until it's melted. Then dip the pretzel rods about 2/3 into the melted blue chocolate. Lay them on a baking sheet and let them dry.
Melt the yellow chocolate the same way you did the blue. Dip each pretzel from the other end and cover the rest of the pretzel so that it's 2/3 blue and 1/3 yellow. Place the edible eyes on the yellow part near the top. Make sure some of your Minions have one eye and some have two. Let the pretzels dry completely.
Melt the black chocolate the same way as the other colors. Once it's melted place it into a small plastic bag and snip one of the bottom corners off (just a little bit). Use the bag to pipe little goggles on around the eyes and make a little mouth on each one.
Once everything has dried and hardened they are ready to eat! Not only are these fun every day treats, but they make excellent Minion party snacks too! And make sure to enjoy the new movie next week!
