I needed a quick gift for some neighbors this week and didn't have a lot of supplies, which was pretty much perfect for these cute mason jar pumpkin spice cookie dough mixes. They were super easy to throw together and even easier for my friends to get fresh pumpkin spice cookies whenever they want them.
All you have to do is take a box of spice cake mix and dump it in a clean mason jar. Then top the jar off with chocolate chips. Print the tags and attach them to the jar. And when the person is ready to make their cookies, all they have to do is throw a can of pumpkin in, mix it up, and sprinkle some brown sugar on top of the cookies before baking. Easy peasy. And delicious.
I wanted to add a little sparkle to my jars (who doesn't love sparkle), so I used some gold Scotch Expressions glitter tape on the lids and around the jars. And then I used jute twine to tie on the tags. I also printed my tags on some light brown "natural looking" paper, which I think turned out cool.
