Trace the Snail: Handwriting and Pencil Control Practice

Melissa Bastow

My son participated in a great online preschool this past year.  He has learned a TON.  But one thing that it lacked was letter making and handwriting practice.  So that's what we'll be working on this summer before he heads off to Kindergarten.

He gets bored with just practicing letters though, so I threw together this fun snail tracing page and he enjoyed it MUCH more than writing the letter E, which is what he was refusing to do before this.

He had so much fun that I thought I would share the page.  I hope your kids enjoy it as much as mine!  Just right click on the image below and select "print" or "save" from the menu that pops up.

Please don't share the file with others - send them here to get it themselves (and maybe they'll peruse and buy some clipart while they're at it)!  Speaking of clipart, this snail comes as a colored high quality PNG image in this Cutesy Insect set:

If you teach little ones you can use this pencil control practice sheet for your class.  And tell all your fellow teacher friends to check out other freebies on the blog or products in the shop!
